Courses of Electrician - Two Years
Under craftsmen training scheme the electrician trade was introduced by the Govt.of India in 1950 to ensure steady flow of skilled workers in electrical division for domestic industries and to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by imparting systematic training to educated youth. The electrician trade4 of this institute is affiliated to NCVT, New Delhi vide its office Letter No DGET-6/18/34/2008-TC 14/ 11/2008. The Workshop is equipped with all modern machineries to meet the demands of modern industries in our country and is reckoned as the best and modern workshop of its kind in Odisha. Moreover along with the excellent training facilities, BITC has its own entrepreneurship and training placement division to hop the trainees to set up their own units and better placement. Besides practical training the institute provides more practical exposure to trainees by giving them a lot of allied jobs along NIMI pattern. The trainees are taught about the basic knowledge of different fundamental units, House wiring, Transmission and distribution of electrical power, measuring instruments, motors, generators, Alternators, different windings, Earthing, maintenance and installation of different machinery, like Transformer, motor etc on NIMI pattern. Besides these the trainees are being tough the assembling and manufacturing of different electrical domestic appliances like heater, choke, Heating coil, Eliminator stabilizer, charging light, starter and different electrical exhibits.
